The following terms and conditions govern the commission services provided by Lindsey Aurora, to you, the Client. Your acceptance of these terms is implied upon payment of the deposit.
Agreement
Before commencing work, the Client and Lindsey Aurora will discuss the commission details, including the requested artwork, agreed price, and approximate timeline.
Payment
To secure a commission slot and initiate the artwork process, a non-refundable 50% deposit is required from the Client. The remaining balance is to be settled upon completion of the artwork, before it is delivered to the Client. Alternative payment arrangements, such as instalment payments, may be agreed upon, with the artwork sent upon receipt of the final instalment.
Photo Provision
For portrait commissions, the Client must provide suitable photographs, ensuring they have the necessary permission to use them and do not violate any copyright laws.
Artwork Progress
Unless otherwise requested, Lindsey Aurora will provide one progress photograph of the artwork before final details are added. The Client may suggest alterations at this stage, with additional photos sent for approval as necessary. Progress photos may be shared on social media unless the Client specifies otherwise.
The Finished Artwork
Upon completion, a photograph of the finished artwork will be sent to the Client for approval. Payment of the remaining balance confirms the Client's satisfaction with the artwork.
Postage
Artwork will typically be sent via Royal Mail second class delivery, unless an alternative arrangement is agreed upon, with any additional costs covered by the Client. Local pickup or hand delivery may be arranged for Clients in close proximity to Lindsey Aurora.
Copyright
Lindsey Aurora retains copyright to the artwork created from the Client's photos. The Client may share the artwork on social media but must credit Lindsey Aurora. Reproduction or sale of pet portraits requires prior agreement.
Termination of the Commission
If the Client terminates the commission before completion, any non-refundable deposits or instalment payments will be retained by Lindsey Aurora. In the event of communication breakdown, Lindsey Aurora may terminate the commission after issuing a warning message.
Refunds
Once the Client receives the finished commission, no refunds will be offered by Lindsey Aurora.
